How do I turn an email on or off? (Email Settings)
In short
Email Settings lists every automatic email with its own switch, plus one master switch that pauses them all.
Open Communications, then Email Settings. The Send all notifications switch at the top pauses every automatic email when it is off.
Find an email in its group, such as Payments & subscriptions. Use its switch to turn it on or off. Edit opens its template.
Click Send me a test of each to receive a sample of every email that is on. Confirm when asked.
Good to know
A line under each email shows when it was last sent and how many failed in the last 30 days.
Rows marked Coming soon start sending once that feature goes live.
An email you switch off is shown as skipped in the Outbox.
Password resets and sign-in codes are not affected by these switches.
