How does the cookie banner work?
In short
The cookie banner asks visitors before analytics and ad tags set cookies, and you choose who sees it.
Who sees it
By default visitors from the EU and wider European area, the UK and Switzerland, and anyone whose country is unknown. You can show it to everyone instead.
Before a choice
Analytics and ad tags run in a privacy mode that sets no cookies.
Visitor choices
Accept all, reject all, or pick analytics and marketing separately. A Cookie preferences button lets them change their mind.
Cookie policy page
Every academy has a published "Cookie policy" page, and the banner links to it. Edit it in the Site Builder.
Where to set it
Open Settings, Integrations, Marketing and Analytics, then the folded Cookie consent section. You can change the banner text there.
If TEACHNIQ has turned the banner off for your academy, visitors are not asked, and the page says so.
In Google Tag Manager, set each tag's consent requirement so it follows the visitor's choice.
