How do learners join a live session?

In short

Learners open their Live sessions page and press Join now, which switches on 15 minutes before the start.

  • Find it

    Learners open Live sessions in their sidebar. The sessions of a course also show on that course's page.

  • Wait for the window

    Join now is grey until 15 minutes before the start. It stays on until the session ends.

  • Press Join now

    It opens your meeting link, whether that is a Microsoft Teams meeting or your own link.

  • Mark attendance

    If learners check in is on, a Mark attendance button shows in the same window, and Attended appears after.

  • Watch the recording

    After the session, a Watch recording button shows under Past sessions if you added a recording link.

Good to know

  • Learners need active access to the course. Without it they see no link and no recording.

  • A repeating session can show learners only its next date.

  • Learners can copy the join link from their session card.
